August Basics: Resin Molds

I haven't written a blog in a while. The resin puzzle pieces are a lot to work with and this month, I will be finishing up de-molding and sanding those pieces and putting together the few remaining collections. I want to focus on 4 new pours, and get moving back in a more creative direction. As I was sorting out what I wanted to create, I started to realize that I have quite a few molds that I am using. Sharing some of my collection comes to mind, they are discolored but still usable can easily be purchased on Amazon, TEMU, and other craft hobby stores.

Many of my favorite molds are the smaller oddly shaped molds , particularly the ones that are used in candy making. Those molds have a certain depth that is not within traditional resin craft molds which make them mfore fund to pour and challenging to embellish due to the additional grooves that are for detail. An example of these molds are the coffee molds below.

These are so hard to decorate with different color resin pours and I find myself using paint markers and other smaller line brush tools to get the pop of color in the more descriptive parts of these molds.
